Have you ever wished you knew how to confidently care for common illnesses and injuries at home using medicinal herbs you can grow or forage for free?
This workshop will give you the practical foundation you need to get started doing just that.
Together we'll explore a common-sense approach to herbal health care, discuss the philosophy behind working with the body's natural healing processes, and introduce the basic herbal preparations every home apothecary should include.
You'll Learn:
A practical introduction to home herbal medicine
The differences between conventional symptom-based care and a holistic approach
The basic herbal preparations every beginner should know
The simple tools needed to start making herbal remedies at home
How herbal tinctures are made and how to use them
The medicinal properties, uses, safety, and dosage of Echinacea, one of the most important herbs for every home first-aid kit
These workshops are what we call “Make-and-Take.” I’ll walk each participant through the process of making an herbal tincture during class to take home and add to your own home apothecary.
