Ingredients: Sustainably wild-harvested fresh young Cleavers, vodka (50% alcohol)
Suggested Use: Dosage for Cleavers is quite subjective. For those who tend to be more sensitive and those very young or very old, start with a small dose by mouth in a little water or juice, between 1 and 10 drops, 3 times per day. For children, 1-30 drops by mouth, adjusting more or less based on body weight, 3 times per day. For adults, 30-60 drops is typical. Cleavers can feel somewhat stimulating if you’re taking more than is necessary. If you feel energized at bedtime, maybe back off on the dosage a bit. You may wish, for young children, to add tincture to hot water or other liquid, in order to evaporate alcohol content yet retain herbal extractives. Serve cooled.
Contraindications: None known, however, Cleavers has diuretic properties - so those who have diabetes or conditions in which taking something with diuretic properties could be irritating should use caution and consult with their physician before use. Always consult with your physician before using a new herb, especially if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, breastfeeding, are on medications or have a health condition.
